Has your child been diagnosed with cancer? Have you lost someone dear to you from cancer?
Stories of you is a heartfelt story of a young boys journey with leukemia. Written in poetic form, the boy finds connection to his grandmother in Heaven from the stories that his momma tells. These stories bring hope, strength, and comfort to to him during his cancer journey and foster a desire to share God’s love with others.
Stories of You not only addresses the hardships of cancer treatments, but also acknowledges the spiritual struggles a child goes through when fighting a terminal illness. In these pages, children and their families will find the comfort and hope that comes from putting their faith in God during trying times.
A cancer or terminal illness diagnosis not only affects the patient, but all those who love them. It brings with it a sense of fear, hopelessness, and loss of control. These are big feelings for anyone, but especially for a child.
Children will learn that
God loves us through the good and bad and He has a plan for our lives.
We can go to God in prayer when we are hurting.
In the most difficult of times, we can share God’s love.
Because of God’s love, there is a home waiting for us in Heaven when we die.
It is the author’s wish that this book would help those dealing with terminal illness, cancer, and grief to feel God’s love, the hope he offers us, and experience the peace that comes from knowing that there is a home waiting for us in Heaven.

The story behind Stories of You…
My youngest son Anders, was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (blood cancer) at the age of
4 years old. He received leukemia treatment for 2 ½ years. He struggled every day, but every day he chose to fight. Today he is strong, loving, witty, and cancer free!
My mother Karen was diagnosed with glioblastoma (the most aggressive form of brain tumors) at the age of 57. She entered the gates of Heaven after a hard 16-month battle when Anders was just one month old.
Her greatest love was God, her greatest joy was her family, and she longed to share God’s love with everyone she could.
The lessons my mother taught me about loving God and caring for others became a foundation for me to stand on while caring for my son during his cancer journey. They filled me with comfort and hope. My hope is that this book brings comfort and strength to children and families who are struggling with the uncertainties of a terminal diagnosis or the grief that comes from losing a loved one.
